I am working nearly nonstop. It's difficult when you work full time but you'd love to write full time. :o(

I thought I'd blog briefly with an update on everything.

WORKING

The writers boot camp is almost done. I hope to have a few authors participate but the show will go on. I want this to be a great summer writing experience for me. The kids will be traveling and I'd like to maximize my writing time. Doing it with YOU would make it a lot of fun.

WRITING

I am finishing a nonfiction book. I have also tinkered with a short story or two to add to the website. They are a few of my favorite short shorts or flash fiction pieces. I will announce it to the newsletter as soon as they hit the website.

WATCHING...& WONDERING

I'm watching the peaks and valleys of my ebooks in Kindle. To the right is the one of the peaks for Black Diamond. My crazy mind is really trying to figure this all out.

What makes people gravitate to a title?

What motivates people to leave reviews?

Are the same people buying the other titles?

I believe #31 is the lowest it's been on the list. Now, I'd love to see it place in other categories of romance. We'll see...

Do you hear the crickets chirping? (smile) I do. It's quiet around here and it's all my fault. I hate to make excuses but I've been not feeling well. I did what all good people should do...I made lemonade out of my lemons and started planning.

I'm sure you're thinking...oh no, what is she up to now. And I'll gladly reply...

I am prepping for a Writers Boot Camp. It will be all run through my blog. It will cost nothing for participants. But I hope to have at least 5 other authors to join me.

I plan to start asking authors I know to join me. But here's what I'm looking for.

  1. Writers looking to perfect their craft. We all are trying to get better at this writing thing. But why go at it alone.
  2. Writers looking to participate in an online writing group. I have visited several groups in my area but with my family, classes and such it's hard to squeeze it in. I'm fortunate to have fellow writings that stay connect or I'd be a loner.
  3. Writers looking to increase web traffic. I could go into detail but I won't right now. If you want more people visiting your website or blog then I'm talking to you! (smile)
  4. Writers wanting to increase their blogging. Same as #3. I won't go into a lot of details. If the shoe fits...
  5. Writers that plan to participate in NaNoWriMo 2011 (November 2011). I want to online camp to end with a bang and run us right into the NaNoWriMo writing challenge.
  6. Writers that are committed. This is the most important.

I have been reading, nearly nonstop since the end of December. After writing during the NaNoWriMo challenge I pushed my manuscript to the side and took a break. I'm still "breaking" (smile) however I wanted to share a quick announcement--or what I hope will become a big announcement.

In April I would like to launch an online writers group. I need your help. Please complete this short survey. The group will not have a fee but it will require committed participants.
